Email Marketing
The January 2007 WebPub meeting focused on email marketing. Some basic tips from the group included the following: Be wary of vendors who want control over your email address database. You should be the ones to send out the email, not them; Try using mailman as an option for sending out email newsletters. The configuration can be tricky, so work with the IS&T Accounts team to set it up (web.mit.edu/ist/accounts); Put your policy statement and physical address at the bottom of your email; Make sure you give the receiver the option to unsubscribe from your email list; include your style... Webpub is the new blog
