Pretty disappointing that this is being held in a room with only 50 seats when that space was outstripped for far less popular events, including ones for which entire other user-groups weren’t invited. :/
Sands, do you have access to a larger space? I don’t have a budget for webpub, so I am taking advantage of what’s free and available in my building. Also please note that this event is open to the MIT community, as are all our meetups. You are always welcome to forward on the webpub email address to whomever you feel may enjoy the topic that month.
Unfortunately my office for the Libraries’ system staff is a small cube space hold-out in E25 (Medical) due to limited space in any library buildings. I wasn’t aware there was no funding for webpub. Understood about the free available space. I’m sure it’s too late to start shifting venues now anyway. I will keep my ears out for other free event space on campus and pass on any information I find.
