Internet Stat Center: For all your curious internet factoids.

ReadWriteWeb posted an article about Google’s Internet Stats. As described on the Internet Stats site,

“This Google resource brings together the latest industry facts and insights together in one place. These have been collected from a number of third party vendors covering a range of topics from macroscopic economic and media trends to how consumer behaviour and technology are changing over time.”

This site is hosted on a UK server, but the data is gathered from companies such as BusinessWeek, Coke, HarvardBusiness.org, Motorola, New York Magazine, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, YouTube, and GM to name a few.

The factoids are broken into five large categories: MacroEconomic Trends, Technology, Consumer Trends, Media Consumption and Media Landscape. With little tidbits like this, “According to a case study by Coke Oasis, 3 out of 4 of the top media vehicles for increased brand fame are online. (Coke Oasis, March 2009)” I’ve found the site interesting, if not a little quirky! Definitely something to check out!
